Hey Guys! I just got back from the best trip of my life! From the 7th till the 11th of June I joined Gopro and the Fam for the Gopro Mountain Games in Vail, Colorado!!!
It was such a fun event I don’t think I can ever describe it properly but i`ll give it a try 😉
(ps: full video of my trip will drop soon > make sure you subscribe to my youtube channel! < https://www.youtube.com/kelluuy)
On the 7th of June I left for the Airport in Germany and arrived 16 hours later(with layovers and driving) in Vail. When we arrived it was nighttime and dark but I could already see how amazingly beautiful this little mountain village was. It looked all very magical with fairy lights everywhere 🙂
We got dropped off at “The Lodge at Vail” which is one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed at. The staff is so so kind and my room looked amazing.

The best staff member in my opinion: Rocky!
The next day I met up with the other gopro fam members at breakfast. It’s so great to be with a group of people that all have the same interest and support each other. After breakfast we went to 4 Eagle Ranch for some fun activities. And I mean FUN! Our group went ATVing in the mountains. I`ll just let the pictures speak for itself:
Back at the hotel I just needed some me time so I went to the pool and had a little swim and snooze. I mean after a long travel day and barely any sleep cause of the jetlag this was necessary 😛
The day after that was probably the best one yet. We went kayaking! Which is one of the most amazing and at the same time scariest things I’ve ever done! I mean this river was wild! I’ve been wild water rafting before but this was on a whole new level. You can only really rely on yourself and after only 5 minutes I already managed to flip my kayak upside down! I got dragged by the river and luckily managed to grab the kayak of our guide Ben. I don’t know how he did it but he managed to paddle towards my kayak in this crazy river and flip it back over. Then I had to climb back in which was pretty hard. I`m so glad my Gopro`s filmed it all and with the Quik app I made it into a memory I will treasure forever 🙂

On Saturday (the second last day) we pretty much had a free day except for the mud run later that afternoon. We woke up at 5 to see the sunrise which meant we had to climb a mountain first which probably isn’t such a great idea on an empty stomach but it was worth it! The sunrise looked amazing with the surrounding mountains.
The rest of the day we walked through the village, checking out all the games going on and eating great food by the many food trucks. Then it was time for the mud run! Oh man the mud was everywhere! I feel so bad for the hotel staff that had to clean my bathroom. This is how much fun we had:
And then Sunday came and it meant the last day 🙁 My shuttle to the airport left at 11.15 am so I woke up at 5.30 am and made sure to make the most of the little time I had left. I went for a walk just by myself along the river. I thought I would be the only one but lots of people took advantage of this beautiful morning.
I made it back for a quick breakfast at 8.00 and I went out immediately afterwards to watch the final of Dock Dogs which in my opinion is the best game at the gopro games. The dogs enjoy it so much and the vibe is amazing! Everyone is so happy and lovely and the best thing: dogs, dogs, dogs just everywhere! I’ve never seen so many dogs in one place its crazy.
Dock Dogs 🙂
I didn’t want to leave but I had to run back to the hotel and chuck everything in my suitcase which of course didn’t want to close anymore. I don’t know how I managed to do this. On the way here I had so much room left! Please tell me I`m not the only one with this problem? Lol!
The shuttle took us to Denver Airport and that was it. The trip was over and I have tons of amazing new memories made with new friends 🙂
