Hey! I just arrived home from a much needed break to the coast of The Netherland. Our accomodation: a “safaritent” at campsite RCN Toppershoedje in Ouddorp! <sponsored stay>
I stayed in a similar tent like this one last June in Belgium but the one we stayed in now was on a different level! It had its own bathroom with shower and toilet, a kitchen with dishwasher and fridge, a bedroom downstairs with a double bed and a bedroom upstairs with three single beds. I’ve never “camped” this luxurious before and the best part about it: it’s only a couple of minutes away from the beach!
At the campsite there are lots of facilities; there’s a restaurant and a snack bar, lots of playgrounds for kids or you can rent bikes(like we did) and explore the coast. We took the path along the coast and stopped every now and then to walk on the beach or go to one of the many beachbars for a drink or a bite to eat.
We were so lucky with the weather! The weather forecast said it was going to rain all week while we were there but by some miracle(lots of praying to the universe, lol) we had a lot of sun instead!
The rest of the days we spent mostly with long walks on the beach, spotting seals, biking around and just enjoying some peace and quiet.
The cute beach houses on the photos were not in Ouddorp btw. It’s on the beach of Renesse which is only 20 minutes away by car from Ouddorp. It’s one of my fav beaches since you can usualy spot seals there!
I could have spend forever walking on the beach but as all good things do our time on the beach came to an end.
